What We Stand For

Our Philosophy

Come as you are. Life comes first.

๐Ÿ•๏ธ

Community comes first, always

Loot fades, raids get cleared, and phases come and go, but the people you play with are the reason you keep logging in. At Remedy, we build the guild around the community first and the raid roster second. That means we'd rather have the right people having a good time than the "optimal" people grinding through it.

We'd rather have the right people having a good time than the "optimal" people grinding through it. Remedy officers, probably said this in Discord at 2am

Casual doesn't mean chaotic

We know real life comes first: jobs, partners, kids, sleep. Nobody here is chasing a world-first, and nobody's going to make you feel bad for logging off early. But casual doesn't mean sloppy. When it's raid night, we show up prepared, we focus up, and we clear content in a respectable amount of time. Relaxed pace, serious execution. That's the balance we're aiming for.

What we ask of you
  • Show up on time, or give a heads up
  • Come prepared: consumables, spec, addons
  • Read the fight, focus up when it matters
What we won't do
  • Guilt-trip you for having a life
  • Bench you for one bad pull
  • Chase world-firsts at your expense

Starting at 10/20, deciding on 40 together

Rather than lock ourselves into a 40-man structure before we know what our roster looks like, we're starting with 10 and 20-man content and building from there. It lets us raid without demanding three raid nights a week from people who already have full lives outside Azeroth, and it means we can grow into bigger content once we know it's sustainable for the people actually showing up.

We're not closing the door on 40-mans. Quite the opposite. As we recruit and settle into a rhythm, we'll have an honest look at what it'd take to scale up: how recruitment's gone, how much extra time investment is realistic, and whether we've picked up people who want to help lead that charge.

So... are we doing 40-mans or not?

Short answer: maybe, later. If the game itself keeps 40-mans light in this first year (a single boss encounter here and there rather than a full Molten Core-style night), that only makes it easier to fold into an existing 10/20 raid night rather than asking for a third. We'll have this conversation with the guild once recruitment settles down, not before.

We'll tell you where we stand

We don't have every answer yet, and we're not going to pretend we do. Where we're genuinely undecided, like the 40-man question, we'll say so, and we'll bring the guild along as those decisions get made instead of springing them on people. Transparency is part of what makes a "come as you are, life comes first" guild actually work.

Room to grow

If you're someone who wants to step into an officer or raid lead role down the line, that door is open.

  • We'd rather grow our leadership from within than force decisions before we're ready to make them
  • Officer and raid lead spots open up as the guild grows, not on a fixed schedule
  • Interested? Just say so, we're always listening
